Service Description

Join artist Maddi O'Kane (Alkami Poise) for a relaxing afternoon of hand building and connecting with others. The afternoon will start with afternoon tea and discussions about comfort and daily rituals and then move into creating a set of two cups/mugs with these discussions in mind. Afternoon tea and all materials will be provided by Maddi. You will have the chance to create a set of two mugs using either a pinching or slab building method. A demonstration for both techniques will be provided by Maddi. She will also offer advice on suitable handle shapes and how to attach handles. The purpose of the workshop is to explore play using clay and create pieces that you have a connection with to use every day. There will be three glaze options to choose from on the day. After the workshop is completed, Maddi will fire and glaze the mugs and email you when they are ready to pick up.
